Fit for life Youth

Fit for Life Youth is a youth training opportunity delivered by Fit 4 Life Health And Fitness Club in partnership with PoCo FC. This program is designed to support children’s physical literacy, athletic development, and overall well-being through age-appropriate movement and fitness activities.

1 - performance pathway

What?

This is not soccer drill training or casual youth fitness class. Sessions run in a safe, coached gym environment and are built to help athletes move better, get stronger, and become more durable throughout the season.

Athletes follow a progressive, age-appropriate approach: we build a strong foundation first (movement quality and proper technique), then increase intensity as players demonstrate control and consistency.

designed to support a wide range of interests, abilities, and motivations. The program is intended to complement, not replace team training.

Why?

The program complements on-field soccer training by helping players move well, build confidence, and develop healthy habits in a positive, inclusive environment. This approach aligns with PoCo FC’s  commitment to the Canadian National Youth Charter Licence, which emphasizes long-term development, child-centred programming, and the well-being of young athletes.

The goal is simple and performance-driven—reduce breakdowns, increase output, and help players show up to training and matches physically prepared.

Who?

This program is open to PoCo FC players who are committed to taking their athletic development to the next level outside of regular team sessions. It’s a structured, gym-based performance pathway focused on the physical qualities that drive soccer performance—Strength, Speed, Power, Mobility, Conditioning, and Injury Resilience.

The program is offered for 2 different age groups for athletes looking for a serious and well structured program . 8-12 year old athletes and 13-17 year old athletes.
